Help Center Troubleshooting Customer Paid But It Still Says Pending

Customer Paid But It Still Says Pending

First, give it a minute

Confirmation takes up to about 20 seconds after the network settles. If it has been less than a minute, wait.

Check the payment actually left

Ask your customer for the transaction reference from their wallet, then look it up:

You can also search your own wallet address and look for a payment around the right time.

If nothing is there, the payment never left. That is between your customer and their wallet, and there is nothing on your side to fix.

If it is on the network but not in Brykto

The funds are in your wallet. Something stopped Brykto matching it to your link. Work down this list.

The memo or destination tag is missing

By far the most common cause, and it only happens when someone pays by hand from an exchange.

On Stellar, no memo means no match at all. On the XRP Ledger, Brykto tries to match by amount instead, which usually works.

The amount is out by too much

Brykto allows 0.1% on USDC, USDT0 and RLUSD, and 2% on XLM and XRP. Further out than that and it is not matched.

Exchange withdrawal fees are the usual reason. See When a customer pays from an exchange.

They sent the wrong asset

A link asking for USDC is only satisfied by USDC. If they sent XLM to a USDC link it will not match, even though the funds arrived safely. USDC and USDT0 are not interchangeable here: a USDC link needs USDC, and a USDT0 link needs USDT0.

An expired link does not accept payment. If they paid anyway, the funds are still yours.

Closing it off

Once you have confirmed the funds are in your wallet, open the link and use Mark as Paid. That records it and sends your notifications and webhook as normal.

Check your wallet first. Marking as paid cannot be undone.

Still stuck

Open a support ticket with the payment ID and the transaction reference, and we can tell you exactly what Brykto saw on the network.
