Help Center Troubleshooting The Wrong Amount Arrived

The Wrong Amount Arrived

How much difference is allowed

You are paid in Allowed difference
USDC, USDT0 or RLUSD 0.1%
XLM or XRP 2%

Inside that range, Brykto confirms the payment. Outside it, the payment does not match and the link stays pending.

XLM and XRP get more room because network fees and rounding inside wallet apps move the figure slightly. Stablecoins are tight because there is no good reason for the number to drift.

If it landed short

The funds are in your wallet, just less than you asked for.

The usual cause is a customer sending from an exchange that took a withdrawal fee off the top. Ask them to add the fee on top next time rather than letting it come out of your payment.

You can mark the link as paid to close it, but be aware this records the full amount as received, not what actually arrived. If the shortfall matters to your records, settle it with the customer before you close the link.

If it landed over

The same in reverse. The extra is yours, and the link stays pending because the amount did not match.

Mark it paid to close it off, and send the difference back from your wallet if you want to.

Preventing it

Tell anyone paying by hand to send the exact figure shown, and to check whether their exchange takes its fee out of the amount.

Customers using a wallet app never hit this. The amount is filled in for them.
