Stablecoin Payments (USDC & RLUSD)

What is stablecoin mode?

In stablecoin mode, you receive a stablecoin - USDC on Stellar or RLUSD on XRPL - regardless of what currency the customer sends. The DEX (decentralized exchange) handles the conversion automatically.

You set your price in any currency: USD, NZD, EUR, JPY, NGN, or any other. Brykto converts it to the equivalent stablecoin amount at checkout.

What the customer sees

The customer opens your payment link and their wallet app shows them the payment to confirm. Brykto supports two ways the customer can pay:

  • Directly with USDC or RLUSD - if the customer already holds the stablecoin, the wallet sends it straight to you. No conversion happens.
  • With XLM or XRP - if the customer only has the native coin, the wallet routes through the DEX automatically and you still receive the exact stablecoin amount. The customer sees how much XLM or XRP they need to send based on the current DEX rate.

Either way, the experience is the same for the customer - they open the link, confirm in their wallet, and done.

What you receive

You always receive the exact stablecoin amount stated on the payment link. For example, if the link is for NZD 80.00, you receive 48.50 USDC (based on the exchange rate at the time the link was created).

Trustline requirement

To receive USDC or RLUSD, your wallet needs a trustline to the issuer. Brykto checks this during onboarding. See Connecting Your Wallet for setup details.
