How Payments Work

The payment flow

Brykto connects customers and merchants directly, wallet to wallet. Here is what happens when a customer pays:

1. You create a payment link with an amount and currency.
2. The customer opens your payment link on their phone or computer.
3. They tap Open in LOBSTR or Open in Xaman. Their wallet app opens automatically with all the details pre-filled.
4. The customer confirms the payment in their wallet.
5. Brykto detects the transaction on the ledger, marks it confirmed, and sends you a notification.
6. The funds are in your wallet. Brykto never touched them.

Non-custodial

Brykto is non-custodial. This means Brykto does not hold funds at any point. Your wallet address is stored and payments go directly to it. Brykto only monitors the ledger to confirm transactions.

Settlement speed

Stellar transactions settle in 3 to 5 seconds. XRPL transactions settle in 3 to 5 seconds. Once the transaction appears on the ledger, Brykto confirms it within seconds.

No timers

Payment links do not expire on a short timer. A customer has up to 7 days to complete a payment before the link expires.
