Help Center Getting Started Choosing a Payment Mode

Choosing a Payment Mode

Overview

Brykto supports two payment modes. You choose one during onboarding and can switch at any time from Settings.

Stablecoin mode

In stablecoin mode, your customers pay in the native currency of their wallet (XLM or XRP), and your wallet receives a fixed stablecoin amount via an automatic DEX swap.

  • Stellar rail: you receive USDC (Circle)
  • XRPL rail: you receive RLUSD (Ripple)

You create payment links in any fiat currency - for example, USD 50.00. Brykto converts that amount to the equivalent USDC or RLUSD at checkout time. Your customer's wallet handles the conversion automatically.

This mode protects you from price volatility. You always receive the exact amount you requested.

Native mode

In native mode, you request payment directly in XRP or XLM. The amount is set in digital currency at the time you create the link. It does not change.

This is suited for merchants who think in digital currency and are comfortable with price movements.

Which should I choose?

If you operate in fiat (pricing your products in USD, NZD, NGN, etc.) choose stablecoin mode. You get predictable settlement with no volatility.

If you already price and think in XRP or XLM, native mode is simpler.
