Checkout Button Overview
What is the checkout button?
The checkout button is a small JavaScript embed (checkout.js) that adds a Brykto payment button to any website. When a customer clicks it, a payment modal appears. They complete the payment without leaving your site.
How it works
- You create a checkout button in your dashboard under Checkout Buttons.
- You set a label, amount, currency, and an optional success URL.
- Brykto gives you a two-line code snippet to paste into your website.
- The button appears on your page. Customers click it to pay.
Security
The payment amount and currency are stored on Brykto's servers. They cannot be modified by someone inspecting your page's source code. The embed uses a button_id that looks up the configuration server-side.
Supported sites
The embed works on any site that allows custom HTML: Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Framer, plain HTML, and more.
